Bioresorbable Polymers, Biodurable Polymers, Pharmaceutical Polymers

Polymeric drug delivery applications use a polymer matrix as the vehicle to introduce an active ingredient (therapeutic substance) into the body. Their role includes drug protection, taste masking, controlled release of a given drug, targeted delivery, and/or increased drug bioavailability.

Often, additional excipients are added to formulations to enhance stability and patient acceptability and improve effectiveness and integrity of the active ingredient. The selected dosage form will determine the excipients required to ensure success of the final product.

Foster Delivery Science has experience with new and existing polymers and excipients used for pharmaceutical and drug delivery applications.
